Things Operations Teams Usually Ask
What exactly does shelf insight analytics cover?
Shelf insight analytics uses cameras positioned at shelf level to capture stock information — things like empty positions, low stock areas, and whether products are placed where they should be. The scope is always products and shelves. It does not involve identifying or tracking people in-store.
How is this different from general CCTV in a store?
Standard CCTV is positioned for security purposes and monitors wide areas. Shelf insight uses cameras aimed specifically at product shelves and applies computer vision to detect stock states — not movement or behaviour of people. The purpose and camera positioning are quite different.
We have three stores. Which service should we start with?
A Shelf Insight Readiness Review is a sensible first step. It helps you understand what shelf analytics could realistically deliver across your specific store formats, what the prerequisites are, and how to frame the opportunity internally before committing further resource.
Do you recommend specific camera brands or software vendors?
We are vendor-neutral. We do not sell hardware or licences. Our role is to help your team evaluate options independently and understand what criteria matter for your situation — accuracy, integration, cost, and ongoing maintenance are all part of that conversation.
What happens after the pilot workshop?
After the Inventory Vision Pilot Workshop you receive a pilot plan and a results outline. If you proceed to a wider rollout, the Store Rollout Advisory can support that phase with standardisation, accuracy checks, and staff guidance across locations.

The fees shown (RM 600, RM 1,480, RM 2,860) reflect standard scope. If your situation involves an unusual number of locations or a non-standard store format, reach out and we can discuss what a fair scope looks like before you commit.
